JBC didn't take any risks when searching for a new cash register system. They weighed up various suppliers and configurations against each other, until they chose the Elo 1517L and 1717L. ‘Not only was JBC looking for a durable and reliable cash register system but also a cash register that has a good look and feel in the store’, explains Wendy van de Sande, Account Manager at DOBIT.
A cash register must be functional and reliable first and foremost, that’s definitely true. But JBC is taking it a step further and wanted a checkout that was not only practical, but which also provides clear added value for the customer. Via the 15” customer display, JBC not only shows the prices of the products scanned, it can also communicate about collections and promotions. ‘The desktop monitors at JBC have an excellent price/quality ratio. The monitors have a nice design thanks to the edge-to- edge glass and the anti-glare layer ensures that there is no reflection on the screen, for example from the spotlights that are often found in a store environment.’
